Best Teams in the NFL
With seven weeks in the books, here’s a quick rundown on the best teams in the NFL so far this season.
5) Buffalo Bills (5-1)
The Buffalo Bills have surprised almost every NFL league expert by being one of the best teams in the NFL. Offensively, Trent Edwards is a very good game manager, while Marshawn Lynch is one of the best young running backs in the league. Buffalo’s defense is good and is seemingly improving on a weekly basis.
4) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-2)
Although the Tampa Bay Buccaneers don’t wow you with talent on either side of the field, they are a team that no one wants to face in the postseason. Their offensive unit doesn’t make many mistakes and has two good running backs in Earnest Graham and Warrick Dunn. Defensively, the team has a good mix of veterans and young players.
3) Pittsburgh Steelers (5-1)
The Pittsburgh Steelers are combining the two elements that they always seem to combine — a hard hitting defense and an offense that is dangerous on the ground. Both of those elements are true this year even though the team has dealt with more than its share of injuries. Currently, both the first string and second string running backs are injured, but that hasn’t slowed down the Steelers.
2) New York Giants (5-1)
The reigning Super Bowl champions are coming off of a loss against the Cleveland Browns but they remain one of the teams to beat. The Giants have a budding superstar at quarterback in Eli Manning and a defense that is always in attack mode. If the Giants can remain healthy, they’ll have a decent shot to go back-to-back.
1) Tennessee Titans (6-0)
The lone undefeated squad left in the NFL, the Tennessee Titans have so far looked like the best team in the league. While their offense isn’t amazing, they have a pair of solid running backs in LenDale White and Chris Johnson. Where the team really thrives is defensively. On that side of the field, the Titans have simply been dominant.
