2009 NFL Season - Five Worst Teams
Although we are months away from the beginning of the 2009 NFL season, we can start to see which teams will struggle. The following five teams would be lucky to break .500 next season.
The Win-less Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions have been bad for a long, long time. In the 2008 NFL season, they’ve taken it to a whole new level. At 0-12, the Lions have a great shot to become the first team in NFL history to go 0-16. In Week 14, the Lions will take on the Minnesota Vikings. At 6-5, the Vikings are tied atop their division. Needing a win desperately, they should be able to take care of the Lions.
Worst Teams in the NFL after Week 6
With six weeks gone in the 2008 NFL season, let’s take a look at the worst teams in the NFL.
5. Oakland Raiders
The Raiders have their fair share of young talent but as of right now, they just aren’t very good yet. JaMarcus Russell and Darren McFadden will one make a good quarterback and running back combination but right now, both players are struggling a bit. Add in a coaching change and an owner in Al Davis who seems to always be meddling, and you have a few more reasons why the Raiders are currently the fifth worst team in the NFL.
