1. New York Giants
The defending Super Bowl champions are 8-1 in the 2008 NFL season and they look very, very good. Eli Manning has blossomed into a superstar at quarterback and the defense can still produce a lot of pressure. It won’t be easy for the Giants but they are a team no one wants to face in the playoffs.

With seven weeks in the books, here’s a quick rundown on the best teams in the NFL so far this season.

5) Buffalo Bills (5-1)
The Buffalo Bills have surprised almost every NFL league expert by being one of the best teams in the NFL. Offensively, Trent Edwards is a very good game manager, while Marshawn Lynch is one of the best young running backs in the league. Buffalo’s defense is good and is seemingly improving on a weekly basis.

With six weeks gone in the 2008 NFL season, let’s take a look at the worst teams in the NFL.

5. Oakland Raiders
The Raiders have their fair share of young talent but as of right now, they just aren’t very good yet. JaMarcus Russell and Darren McFadden will one make a good quarterback and running back combination but right now, both players are struggling a bit. Add in a coaching change and an owner in Al Davis who seems to always be meddling, and you have a few more reasons why the Raiders are currently the fifth worst team in the NFL.
