Since late last year, David Beckham has been playing soccer in Italy. On loan from the Los Angeles Galaxy, some fans of Major League Soccer wondered about his commitment to the league.

In February of 2008, the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was awarded a team in Major League Soccer. Earlier this week, the Philadelphia team was finally given a name. According to a report in the Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia’s MLS team will be named the Philadelphia Union.
