In the last few seasons, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning have been far and away the best quarterbacks in the NFL. They’ve each had record-breaking success and have been the examples all other NFL quarterbacks aspired to be. However in 2008, the quarterback landscape changed.

The reigning Super Bowl champions are off to an undefeated start. Despite injuries on their defensive unit, the Giants should contend all season long.
The NFL Limps in Week 2
Tom Brady and the New England Patriots strolled into the 2008 NFL season with high hopes and Super Bowl dreams. After the first week of the season, everything has changed. Early in the Week 1 game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Brady went back to pass and was hit as he made the throw. While Brady has been hit many times before, this hit made him fall to the field awkwardly screaming in pain. He didn’t know it right away but his season was over.
