The Denver Broncos Sign Michael Pittman

The Denver Broncos have picked up some new talent for the 2008 season by signing long time Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan favorite Michael Pittman. Pittman is an NFL veteran with eleven years under his belt, including a Superbowl win in 2002 while playing as a starter for the Bucs.

[Pittman] will most likely be the Broncos third down running back this season. The move comes after Travis Henry was banged up during quarterback camps with a pulled hamstring. Pittman was one of a few good veteran running backs still available. [Source]

Pittman spent last season playing for the Bucs where he rushed for only 286 yards on 68 carries. It was the first time that he failed to score a touchdown since his rookie year. But many think his talents will come in handy under the Denver umbrella. We wonder if this news might have been enough to move Denver up the list of the predicted hottest teams of the 2008 NFL season.
