UFC 90 will take place on October 25th in Rosemont, Illinois at Allstate Arena. This mixed martial arts event is promised to be one of the most watched events of the year. With five quality fights on the main card, there promises to be a lot of good action.

In the headline UFC fight that features Anderson Silva of Brazil against Patrick Cote of Canada, Silva is the massive favorite. Considered the best middleweight MMA fighter in the world, Silva should be able to beat Cote. While Cote is a capable fighter, Silva is simply too good.

American Josh Koscheck is going against Thiago Alves of Brazil in a welterweight fight. In this fight, we expect Koshceck to get the victory. He’s a very strong fighter and has the strength advantage over Alves. Alves might be more technically advanced in the sport but he won’t be able to overcome the strength disadvantage.

In the heavyweight bout, two Brazilians are facing off. If you are betting, go with Fabricio Werdum to beat Junior dos Santos. Werdum is a much respected fighter, while dos Santos is more of an unknown. With Werdum recent impressive victories, this is really a no-brainer.

The two lightweight bouts feature four fighters from the United States. In the first bout, Sean Sherk will take on Tyson Griffin. Sherk is 33-3 as an MMA fighter, while Griffin is 12-1. While both fighters have impressive records, we’ll go with the more experienced fighter in this bout. Sherk is 11 years older but he’s still in his prime and should be able to beat Griffin.

In the other lighweight bout, Gray Maynard is matched up against Rich Clementi. In this fight, Maynard is the favorite to win. That said, Clementi is our prediction. Maynard is undefeated to this point in his career but he’s due for a loss. Clementi has won all of his recent fights and he will pull the upset when he defeats Maynard.
